How to Look at Life

If I had my lover
if I've had my last lover
nothing strange about it
nothing changes for everybody
but I'd be sorry
and unsure how to look at life

I have my worries
and I've made up many stories
about love and I've loved them
but I'm a lonely lover
if there won't be another
I'd be unsure how to look at life

If it would be over
I suddenly feel much older
I love peaceful mornings
but if a storm's never coming
I'd miss somebody
that's all I ask of life

If I had my lover

no I wouldn't say
I am in two minds about it
I'd be too sorry
it will be hard to look at life
